I'm partial to Milsurp weapons, Mainly the designs from WW1 to WW2. Here I'm going to list my favorites and why I feel they are so awesome. There is no particular order, all Weapons systems have their place. I find it rude to compare them in general terms.

The Mosin Nagant m39 "Finnish" Model.
They're the cream of the crop for the Mosin's and are about 3x as expensive as the average. But man are they nice, Shoots a 7.62x54r ("R" for Rimmed cartridge) So it's one manly piece of weaponry. It also has the durability you can come to expect from Russian design. I like the m91/30s as well; it's the best $100 bucks you can spend. I've seen these firearms shoot dead on at 800+ yards, but only in the hands of somebody who knows their stuff so this is Not a beginners Rifle, but fun as heck and 7.62x54R is arguably the cheapest High Cal round you can find out there today.. That's if you don't mind shooting FMJ's via Milsurp Ammo supply. If you're into historical guns, WW2, Russian Rifles or on a budget.. This is the gun for you. There's a reason why this has been an active service rifle for over 130 years.

The AK-47 Variant "Arsenal" Model
There's an epic debate going on which gun is superior, the AK or the AR. It's a silly argument, because it all depends on what you're using it for. If you have the money and want a precision Assault rifle then buy yourself an AR for about 2 grand. However, I'm a SHTF prepper so I need a Firearm that I can rely on when "it" Hit's the fan and the Arsenals are under 1k. I don't know about you guys, but I'm not made of money. The Kalashnikov's (I forget how it's spelled) Design is without a doubt the most durable, reliable and war proven design for any firearm PERIOD. I've seen these guns dug out of holes, which had been sitting for 18+ years and being fired after simply slapping some oil in the receiver. Maybe they're not as Cool and "Tactical" inclined.. But you wont be looking so cool if your gun jams in a critical situation.

The Remington Model 700 .270 Bolt Action
This Rifle was passed down to me from my Grandfather, who got it from his father. I grew up hunting with it, and perfected my shooting technique with it so there's sentimental value in play. Built from this very design, are the standard issue Sniper Rifle of the United States Army and Marine Corps, the m24(Army) and the m40(Marines). Dozens of models have been built off of these systems since. This Rifle is the standard platform for American Sniper rifles, need I say any more?

The 1911A1 .45 Pistol
The M1911 is a single-action, semi-automatic, magazine-fed, recoil-operated handgun. For it's time this baby was the meanest Pistol in town, The 1911 served as the standard-issue side arm for the United States armed forces from 1911 to 1985. You will get what you pay for, these are not cheap but are worth it if you have the money. What I love about these Pistols are that they're a part of American history. Aside from Colt Revolvers I'd say this is the most Iconic American made Handgun in history.

The Mossberg 500 12 Gauge Pump action Shotgun
The Model 500 was the only shotgun to pass the US Army's Military inspection test some years ago. "a brutal and unforgiving torture test with 3,000 rounds of full power 12 gauge buckshot". It was also a staple in Marine Corps Shotguns for years, and are still in use but not as commonly today. It fits my bill for firearms, Simple, easy to maintain, reliable and battle proven.
